I recently returned to Duluth after going to the twin cities to finish my last two years of medical school (I was in Duluth for undergraduate and the first two years of medical school at UMD). I originally grew up in Saint Peter, MN and still have strong ties there since most of my family is still there. Throughout all my life family has come first and I would hope to find someone who understands my strong connection to my family.

I'm currently doing my residency in family medicine here in Duluth (doing work at both Saint Luke's and Saint Mary's) and so far I'm really enjoying it. The hours are long, sometimes up to 30 hour shifts and 80 hours a week, but in the end it will be worth it knowing I'm well trained. I do have time to relax outside of work, and I take as much advantage of it as I can.

I'm also, honestly, kind of a geek. I built my first computer this last December, like to watch anime, and like to tinker around with electronics. I am not in very many different things at the moment. I just got up in this area and am just getting to know it. I like to play hockey and watch hockey, Im not the best at it but I still enjoy getting out on the ice. My parents have a pond in their backyard so I am very use to pond hockey.

Well lets start off with the fact that I am a 22 year old college student perusing a degree at UWS. I am an incredibility motivated person that knows exactly where I want to go in life as well as the best way to get there. I'm trying to get into tap dancing and tango. I tend to not see the big picture in things as easily as everyone else. But be patient, and I eventually get it. Just give me some time. I want to live life like the world isn't going to be there tomorrow(aka, I want to travel...a lot).

I'm looking for someone to spend the rest of my life with, and have it be as completely opposite to the relationship that my parents have as absolutely possible. No, they don't abuse each other, there's just no magic to their marriage anymore. I want to meet the guy who will wake up next to me after 20 years and still have that sparkle in his eyes when he sees me.

I guess the most important thing to know about me is that I find almost everything in life hilarous. Small, everyday odd occurances crack me up the most. I'm also very sarcastic and usually don't get along well with people who aren't.

I love to debate and I can get pretty passionate about it. I love to discuss topics that make people uncomfortable like politics and religion because I truly believe those are important things to discuss and share with other people.

I'm also a writer, so I can get pretty moody and egotistical at times....but I try to eat myself a big slice of humble pie as often as possible.

I sometimes have a short fuse for things that irritate me about people, but usually after a brief rant, I end up laughing about it.

I am a feminist. So if you're not someone willing to possibly change your established views on the way the world treats and has treated women and recognize that you may have been blind to it, stop reading here. Ignorance is forgivable, but the refusal to learn and grow is not.

Here is a little about my self.
I lived in Superior my hole life. I am going to Lake Superior College for a few years now. I am going for my A.A gegree and then get my CNA. I work for the Challenge Center, in group home. I love my job and want to be able to make a little more, and if everything else fails, then I have a back up plan. Family is also important to ame too. My family lives in Milwaukee but have no desire to move there.

I am working a lot too. My foster grandma has alzheimers and I work with her too. I work every day off the week almost. When I have a few days off I like to just sit at home and relax and watch t.v. or movies.

I think its cool that you build your computer, I don't have that ability to do that, so when people have those abilities I admire that. I love watching cartoons, kid movies. I also have a foster kid unofically. My foster mom and I share him togther. I help my family a lot. They are the most important to me right know.

I enjoy playing cards, board games, some video games, fishing, would love to learn to hunt, eating out, movies, taking stroles, I want to take a hike some day, don't mind camping. Camping was always fun when I was young, but don't get to do that at all.

I am looking for a match who is down to earth, isn't needy, can accept that family comes first, so if we have plans and there is something important they can be flexable, always honest, I need to learn not to be searious all the time and it would be nice to learn that from a partner, someone who can take sarcasam from me and know when I am joking and when I am not, someone who will respct my wishes, as I would with his wishes. He would have to understand that when there are important things for me to be at or do that they are always welcome if they want, or if we can pospone dates or whatever maybe planned. Communication is a must. I want someone who is honest, loyal, forgivng, someone who doesnt hold grudges, and kind hearted.

I like to go out in the sun, run, fish, lift weights, and hang out. I am looking for friends here and maybe if things go legit it could be more. I am a real go getter. If I see something that interests me I usually go for it. I work as a mental health worker at a local chemical dependency house every Friday and Saturday from 11 PM till 7 AM.

I'm currently an engineering technician, and enjoy my job very much. I have a degree in discrete math. One of my favorite hobbies is working on cars, especially my trans-am. I'm especially looking for that special someone to ride in it with me ;) I enjoy listen to many kinds of music and enjoy watching movies avidly.

I'm a country girl living in town much to the chagrin of my neighbors. My dream is to one day have a place where I can have a cow (a little one), chickens, geese, a llama or two and any other critter that comes along. I want an orchard and countryside to wander. I'm not very big so I appreciate having a man around to take things down from shelves and to fix things so I don't have to. I love rode trips whether it is driving along in a truck or on the back of bike. When I explore it will either be backroads and small towns, local museums or galleries or the deepest parts of a forest. Since I live near the big lake I do like canoe or go out on a boat. Though I enjoy sports (I used to golf, bowl) I mostly just hang out in the woods collecting plants for my latest craft project.

I love anything fantasy or sci-fi (as you'll find out if you read my books/movies section). My favorite TV shows are Firefly, Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, Andromeda, Smallville, MacGyver, Primeval, Sanctuary, Warehouse 13 and Family Guy.

I'm immensely philosophical. I have a thing for proverbs, especially Zen koans or quotes expressing any type of wisdom. I enjoy trying to understand their meaning and soak it in. Discussions involving such things are also amazing.

I love culture. And I think the world needs more of it. I love experiencing new places and people, art, music, etc.

I love to write, be it poetry or novels. Now that I have the time, I plan on starting up my own series. Ask me later and I'll let you know how it's goin'.

I was born in Southern Minnesota, had an absolutely Huck
Finn like childhood...fell in love with baseball, eventually fell in love with learning and bacame a teacher. I married my High School sweetheart and shared 33 years with that wonderful woman.

Moved to Duluth in 1970 and ended up teaching 37 years here. Fell in love with the lake and the arrowhead region.

Had two wonderful children rather late in life, my son was born when I was 37, my beloved daughter was born on my 39th birthday.

Played lots of organize softball, just quit about 2 years ago, went on many, many trips and camping outings with my family, been almost everywhere out west...and still love to go again and again, I would love to meet someone who would like to share in R.V.ing. and motorcycling.

I Am presently working a rather enjoyable part time job, only two days a week and it sure helps supplement Social Security and retirement income.

I would love to be able to spend some time in the Southwest during the bitter cold of winter, would enjoy exploring the southwest via motorcyle and road trips...now that is one of my favorite words/expressions "Road Trip".

Well, first off I guess I'll say that my ways of thinking are a bit different than the "norm" in how i see things and that which I value, or hold as a moral standing, am non religious yet spiritual in my own beliefs. Also music is pretty big with me and again, my tastes in music are an aquired one, I am what people would call a "metal head", which is true to the core, however I enjoy others as well and can appreciate diversity in music for other peoples liking, to each his/her own. I am down to earth and easy going, enjoy the simpler things in life, the less drama the better. i am someone who will respect you for who you are and only ask for the same respect in return... basically, if i can't be me... whats the point... right? I also understand the meaning of compromise, I like to be open minded to a point and be spontaneous at times. i am up front and honest and would rather be out about things and to have communication, instead of drama. I would love to be with someone to start of building a good friendship, (best friends) with the intensions of seeing if it could lead to a potential life partner.
I am heavily into the outdoors, I respect the natural order of things, which is the spiritual aspect for me. I fish, hunt, hike around in the woods, camp, have bon fires, ect...

I am a Senior pursuing a political science degree at UWS and I will graduate in May, then head off to law school next fall. There are many things that are wonderful in life, but the value of your closest friends and family is rarely overestimated. I like to play devil's advocate way beyond the point of useful instigation. I enjoy conversations that challenge our most passionately held and/or unacknowledged ideals. I try to resist nostalgia. When not otherwise engaged, I very much enjoy a game of tennis, chess, or poker and I spend too much time on my computer. I have rediscovered the joy of reading books purely for pleasure. I like to cook, but most nights I settle for whatever takes 15 minutes or less. I am addicted to politics. I dislike pretension, though I have rightly been accused of the same. People are strange, even taken in context.

I am a free-spirited, 20 year old girl, I don't know where my life is heading, but I'm living every single second of it to it's fullest. I enjoy a multitude of different things. I am extremely passionate about music, it may be clique to say but it gets me through every single emotion that I feel, it can make me happy, sad, energized, tired, passionate, angry, etc. I have high respect to artists that can write the most beautiful unique lyrics that I could only wish to be able to write in words. Most days I can be seen at school or at work, both of which consume a massive amount of my time. It's funny because as much as I love school I have yet to find the motivation to actually excel in it. My mom and dad always have told me that I'm extremely smart but I just don't choose to use it. I'd much rather be doing anything else besides homework. I've been to two different countries in my life so far. Mexico and Japan, both of which were amazing, life-changing trips. I've only began to mark off the long list of countries that I want to travel to while I'm young and beautiful. I especially want to travel to Spain and other places in Mexico where I can immerse myself into what I think is the most beautiful culture ever. I can speak Spanish close to fluent as well and I wish that it was my first language.
I love to have a good time, It seems like I go through cycles where I party a lot and then I don't party at all, so I think it's safe to say that I love going out as much as I love staying in watching a movie and cuddling. Currently I have an obsession of buying complete seasons of TV shows ans watching them in my down time. So far I've conquered Dawson's Creek (lol I know.), True Blood, and Alias. I also love reading a lot as well but I have to be in the mood.
