Life is dark and light, and I enjoy both sides. I'm the kind of woman who does as she pleases, not changing just for others, but can learn from examining my mistakes and triumphs. I am a constantly evolving creature, and look forward to seeing how next I grow.

As I don't like to "date," meeting new friends and seeing if it becomes more, is the way I like to work. It all begins in the same place anyhow right? I mean, it's not easy to go back and start as friends after having a few unsuccessful dates. My furniture is hairy, and animal hair is an accessory to me, but it's the price you pay for having hairy friends. I've lived in my little speck of the world, but eagerly await my opportunities to travel, experience different cultures, smell the night air in a new place, see the sun set on a new horizon. I've been in Minnesota my whole life, and can't wait to live in a warmer climate.

I recently returned to Duluth after going to the twin cities to finish my last two years of medical school (I was in Duluth for undergraduate and the first two years of medical school at UMD). I originally grew up in Saint Peter, MN and still have strong ties there since most of my family is still there. I'm currently doing my residency in family medicine here in Duluth (doing work at both Saint Luke's and Saint Mary's) and so far I'm really enjoying it. I do have time to relax outside of work, and I take as much advantage of it as I can.

I'm a country girl living in town much to the chagrin of my neighbors. I lived in Superior my hole life. I am going to Lake Superior College for a few years now. I am going for my A.A gegree and then get my CNA. I work for the Challenge Center, in group home. Which doesn't make me a bad person. They're jokes, I'm not trying to offend. If somethings funny to me, it doesn't have to be funny to somebody else. I'm looking to develop a strong and eternal bond with that special woman. I'm not one for serial dating. I like to concentrate all my focus on one person at a time. It's really unfair to do anything else. If your not going to be yourself, don't even try. Some people pretend to be someone they are not, until they get what they want and then let their true self re-emerge which is just wrong and down right cruel. Be who you are, not who you think they want you to be.

I'm currently an engineering technician, and enjoy my job very much. I have a degree in discrete math. One of my favorite hobbies is working on cars, especially my trans-am. I guess i am looking for an honest, caring, funny, smart girl. Apparently in my neck of the woods you're more likely to spot the sasquatch from the Jack Link's commercials. I love the outdoors and used to mountain bike race. I played soccer for 14 yrs and was captain of a 3-man paintball team. My main passion is working on performance cars/truck and designing custom parts for them. I love anything fantasy or sci-fi (as you'll find out if you read my books/movies section). My favorite TV shows are Firefly, Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, Andromeda, Smallville, MacGyver, Primeval, Sanctuary, Warehouse 13 and Family Guy.

I'm immensely philosophical. I have a thing for proverbs, especially Zen koans or quotes expressing any type of wisdom. I enjoy trying to understand their meaning and soak it in. Discussions involving such things are also amazing.

I love culture. And I think the world needs more of it. I love experiencing new places and people, art, music, etc.

I love to write, be it poetry or novels. Now that I have the time, I plan on starting up my own series. Ask me later and I'll let you know how it's goin'.

I just moved up to Superior Wisconsin for college. I am going to LSC in Duluth for college but am living at UWS in the dorms. I love the area up here so far but winter is gonna be cold. I love to hang with ppl and chat all the time, getting to know new ppl is always lots of fun. I am very outgoing and funny. I love to make ppl laugh. I also truely care bout ppl, I try to be there for my friends always, or as much as possible. My family means alot to me but due to recent events, my best friends family has also become mine in a way. I enjoy just spending time with ppl or just talking to ppl, I am very social. Also I am always texting ppl, I get bored just sitting around not talking to anyone.

I also enjoy writing and singing. I have been writing poetry for years and have close to 50 maybe more. I have a couple stories and songs that I have also wrote. I enjoy finding a new way to express your feelings. I see it as when you write you let ppl into your world but let them make their own opinion of you. I also love to sing. If I can sing I will. Music is my life and means so much to me, when you listen to music you cant help but connect. I have sang numerous solos, and also was part of the best choir in our school. I was part of 4 different musicals in my school. Beauty and the Beast, Guys and Dolls, High School Musical, and Cinderella. I enjoy being infront of ppl singing or acting. I love going to the club also it is fun to go dancing and have fun just moving to the beat. I have only gone to the club once but for sure will be going more. I love to have fun with friends, it doesnt matter if they dont know how to dance or not, but if you can dance sweet lets go to the club. Also if you can sing that is awesome I love guys who can sing.

I am not in very many different things at the moment. I just got up in this area and am just getting to know it. I like to play hockey and watch hockey, Im not the best at it but I still enjoy getting out on the ice. My parents have a pond in their backyard so I am very use to pond hockey.

I love animals and wish I could have some in the dorm. I dont really have a prefernce between dogs or cats, they are both great animals.

I am a free-spirited, 20 year old girl, I don't know where my life is heading, but I'm living every single second of it to it's fullest. I enjoy a multitude of different things. I am extremely passionate about music, it may be clique to say but it gets me through every single emotion that I feel, it can make me happy, sad, energized, tired, passionate, angry, etc. I have high respect to artists that can write the most beautiful unique lyrics that I could only wish to be able to write in words. Most days I can be seen at school or at work, both of which consume a massive amount of my time. It's funny because as much as I love school I have yet to find the motivation to actually excel in it. My mom and dad always have told me that I'm extremely smart but I just don't choose to use it. I'd much rather be doing anything else besides homework. I've been to two different countries in my life so far. Mexico and Japan, both of which were amazing, life-changing trips. I've only began to mark off the long list of countries that I want to travel to while I'm young and beautiful. I especially want to travel to Spain and other places in Mexico where I can immerse myself into what I think is the most beautiful culture ever. I can speak Spanish close to fluent as well and I wish that it was my first language.
I love to have a good time, It seems like I go through cycles where I party a lot and then I don't party at all, so I think it's safe to say that I love going out as much as I love staying in watching a movie and cuddling. Currently I have an obsession of buying complete seasons of TV shows ans watching them in my down time. So far I've conquered Dawson's Creek (lol I know.), True Blood, and Alias. I also love reading a lot as well but I have to be in the mood.

what can I say, I'm a Minnesota country boy. I love the out doors, hunting, fishing, camping and exploring are how I like to spend alot of my time. When I'm not doing thoes I snowboard, play hockey and snow mobile in the winter. during the summer my friend and I roller blade about four miles a day, ride bikes and go for walks in the woods just to try to stay in shape a little. I would like to find someone to share some of my little adventures with, I beleive having common intrists is key to a lasting relationship. I kinda also want someone to push me a little in my exercise, I could stand to loose a few pounds I'm not saying I'm fat there's just room for improvement. I also have a job that consumes a bit of my time, but it's a job I finally love and it pays decent. myself hmm that takes some thinking. Everybody can think of bad things about themselves, but have a harder time seeing the good. I am always looking to improve upon myself. To discribe ones self in a few sentences is like trying to empty lake superior with a tablespoon. It is not the best tool to use.

I'm 33 years old, a lifelong Christian (ELCA Lutheran in case you are wondering) and attend services pretty much every week, I am also very active in the church (council, education committee, youth leader, etc.). My match needs to respect this and hopefully share it at least to some degree.

I want (my own) kids some day, but am not looking to be a step daddy (sorry). This is just about me and what I am ready for, not a reflection on her. This is not to say that if you have a child or children that it is a disqualfier, merely that it is not what I am specifically looking for. As long as you are willing to have more children then that's fine because I definitely want to have children.

RELIGION:

I was born and raised ELCA Lutheran but rarely identify myself to others as "Lutheran/christian" unless asked. I basically consider myself a Christian. I've long believed that Jesus is up there shaking his head at all of us at the divisions we've drawn in His Church. The most important thing is John 3:16 and how we are saved by grace and not by deeds (Roman 3:23, 10, 12â??6:23â??5:8â??10:9, 10, 13.). The good deeds which we do are in thanksgiving to God for the grace he has given us.

I was born in April of 1975 and baptized as an infant in August of that year. I was "confirmed" in the church through Affirmation of Baptism at the end of 8th grade which is normal for us. I can't really pinpoint a spot in my life where I was "saved" other than that. I've always been Christian an as I've grown I've learned what it means to me.

I believe in the sainthood of all believers and The True Presence of Christ in the communion elements (i.e. the literal body and blood of Christ not just symbols). I've believed since I was a teenager that it is the duty of every believer to actively participate in the ministry of God's Church in the world. For some of us that is working directly in the ministry of the church (e.g. leading the youth, teaching Sunday school, assisting with communion, other participation in the worship service, assisting with funerals and refreshments for funeral receptions to name a few.), or other things such as witnessing, spiritual counseling of others, or things like helping the poor. At one point or another I've done most of these things.

FAMILY

I have somewhat of an unusual family structure. I am the youngest of 5 kids (two older brothers and two older sisters) all of whom are between 15 and 20 years older than I am. Most of them moved out on their own or got married when was very small and I've been an uncle since I was 2 1/2. I have 5 nieces and 5 nephews -- ranging in age from 14 to 30 -- and 2 (soon to be three) great nephews. My nieces and nephews growing up were more like cousins due to the ages. My family is very important to me and I don't see them nearly as much as I wish due to work and just everyone doing their own thing a lot of the time.

WHAT I WANT

Let me take the time to clarify here in case you are wondering and so you don't get the wrong idea. I have nothing against opposite sex friends -- I have many of them -- but what bothers me is when one person decides unilaterally early in the friendship (usually based upon superficial physical attractiveness) that that's all there will ever be, that frustrates me very much.

A true lasting romance must grow from friendship first. If a relationship grows into that then great, if not then you still have the friendship and that is a very valuable thing. The "just friends" to me is unfair and stagnates/eliminates the possibility of such growth.

I know what I want, it isn't too much to ask I don't think. I read all of the different things you can search by on dating websites and think to myself "I don't care how tall she, what her body type is or what her eye or hair color is" -- well that's not 100% true, I'm not sure I could be attracted to someone who dyed her hair green or an unnatural shade of red, but other than that I'm good -- I just want someone I can have a connection with and who I can get to know and hopefully fall in love with and have her fall in love with me.

Unfortunately that hasn't even come close to happening yet.

I am a kind, loving, diverse person. I am quirky, and I have a good sense of humor. Life with me is never boring.

I used to live in Los Angeles, so I kind of have the â??city girlâ?? aspect to me, but have lived in Minnesota for 10 years now, so I am well rounded. I am a little bit of a tech geek. I love the sun, summer days, and rain.

I treasure my friends and family. I wish my family was larger. I feel no one can have too many friends as long as it is not at the expense of your preexisting friends. I highly value my friends and will do almost anything for those that are close to me.

I like being spontaneous and surprises but I also like planning and to know what is to come.
